For the terraced houses I wanted to try and do something a bit more interesting than just plain houses in a row, so I drew them staggered on a hillside. I used the shape of the picket fence and the shadows of the trees to reinforce the illusion of a hillside, on an otherwise flat green background. This ended up being one of my favourites.
