This was a quick painting that I did as part of an exercise. Because time was very short, I decided to focus on the mood of the picture, and I used a lot of haze and silhouettes to fill the space quickly. The cityscape and the way it is painted, was inspired by a mixture of artwork from the 2000AD Judge Dredd Comics, and Bespin, the cloud city from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.
